Anna Maria Island is a true paradise for nature lovers. The warm gulf waters are abundant with beautiful sea creatures and plant life. Dolphins, rays, even a 25 foot whale shark, as reported yesterday in the Anna Maria Islander.
Turtle volunteers had a busy week with mother turtles coming ashore to nest, the first hatchlings emerging, as reported in the AMI Sun.
While boating last week about 1/2 mile offshore, I had the priveledge of seeing a very large sea turtle, 3 nurse sharks circling our boat, 2 non-chalant manatee, and several dolphins. It's always "a beautiful day" on Anna Maria Island and one never knows what they may have the opportunity to experience!

Sounds like a great experience. Thanks for sharing. I really liked the video. We will have to put this on our vacation list.
