Nature at it's finest...

Anna Maria Island is a true paradise for nature lovers. The warm gulf waters are abundant with beautiful sea creatures and plant life. Dolphins, rays, even a 25 foot whale shark, as reported yesterday in the Anna Maria Islander.
Turtle volunteers had a busy week with mother turtles coming ashore to nest, the first hatchlings emerging, as reported in the AMI Sun.
While boating last week about 1/2 mile offshore, I had the priveledge of seeing a very large sea turtle, 3 nurse sharks circling our boat, 2 non-chalant manatee, and several dolphins. It's always "a beautiful day" on Anna Maria Island and one never knows what they may have the opportunity to experience!

Anna Maria Island News

Once again, our charming island made the news. The New York Times discovered just how wonderful our restaurants and island really is.
"Just when you think you’ve seen everything under its proverbial sun, you stumble across a place like Anna Maria Island — a seven-mile slip of cushy white sand tucked in the Gulf of Mexico where you can dump the car, rent a bike, swim in smooth, teal waters and eat remarkably well. "

Cindy Price, New York Times writer for the Travel Section, wrote about her recent Anna Maria Island experience. Read the entire article and many more here...
